ASTM has a dominant role among standards developers in the USA, and claims to be the world’s largest developer of standards.  BridgeGate is an organizational member of ASTM and participates on the committee concerned with standards related to Continuity of Care Records.

Health Level Seven (HL7) is is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization involved in the development of international healthcare standards.  Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, HL7 is an international community of healthcare subject matter experts and information scientists collaborating to create standards for the exchange, management and integration of electronic healthcare information.

HL7 promotes the use of such standards within and among healthcare organizations to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare delivery for the benefit of all.  v2.x of the standards, which support clinical practice and the management, delivery, and evaluation of health services are the most commonly used in the world.   www.hl7.org


logo_nemabisdicom-logo The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) sets many common standards used in electrical products and defines standards for electrical products, including those used in hospitals.  BridgeGate provides HL7 and other electrical standards based interoperability for clinical systems such as GE.   BridgeGate also provides the guaranteed delivery and transfer of DICOM images and interfaces for clinical and nurse-call systems.  DICOM is managed by the Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance – a division of NEMA.

Founded in 1979, the main objective of the ASC X12 is to develop and maintain standards that facilitate electronic interchange relating to business transactions such as order placement and processing, shipping/receiving information, invoicing and payment/cash application data.  As well as electronic data related to entities involved in finance, insurance, education and state/federal government agencies. ASC X12 standards facilitate these transactions by establishing a common, uniform business language for computers to communicate across town or around the world. With more than 275 transaction sets, X12 standards can be used to electronically conduct nearly every facet of business-to-business operations.  www.x12.org

AS2 Version 4.0 1Q07 Drummond Certified  — B2B Software Integration

The Drummond Group, Inc. (DCI) provides value to the B2B user community by ensuring that products from different vendors will truly work together. The focus is on real-world interoperability and not just specification compliance.  BridgeGate International has attained AS2 Version 4.0 1Q07 Drummond Certified product status and is listed as having achieved interoperability with other products-with-version listed within this specific test round. The AS2 (Applicability Statement 2) specification is the draft specification standard by which vendor applications communicate EDI or other business-to-business data (such as XML) over the Internet using HTTP, a standard used by the World Wide Web.
